Himilo ICT officially handed over the newly modernized website of the SRS Mines, Energy and Petroleum Bureau following successful development, testing and administrator training.
Himilo ICT has officially completed and handed over the modernized website of the Somali Regional State Mines, Energy and Petroleum Bureau. The handover, completed on September 24, 2026, marked the successful conclusion of the website development and implementation project.
The new website was developed to provide the Bureau with a modern, secure and user-friendly digital platform through which it can communicate with the public, publish official information and improve access to its services.
The platform presents the Bureau’s mandate, leadership, departments, services, news, publications and contact information in a clear and accessible structure. It was designed to work smoothly across desktop computers, tablets and mobile devices, allowing users to access information from different screen sizes.
The project also focused on creating a manageable backend system that enables authorized Bureau staff to publish news, update pages, manage media and maintain website content independently.
Throughout the development process, Himilo ICT worked closely with the Bureau to organize the approved content, improve the website’s visual presentation and ensure that the final platform reflected the institution’s responsibilities in the mining, energy and petroleum sectors.
Before the official handover, the website underwent technical testing to assess its functionality, responsiveness, accessibility and content-management features. Necessary adjustments were completed to ensure that the platform was ready for regular institutional use.
As part of the handover process, Himilo ICT transferred the website administration responsibilities to the Bureau’s designated team after providing practical training on the secure and effective management of the platform.
